Flat6Labs Chooses Repzo Among 24 Startups for the StartMashreq Growth Track Programme
Flat6Labs, a trailblazer in the Mena region for seed and early-stage venture capital, proudly announces its curated list of 24 startups, including Repzo, for their esteemed StartMashreq Growth Track programme. These startups, emanating from Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq, span a myriad of sectors: from fintech to agritech, and notably feature five startups co-founded by empowered female entrepreneurs specializing in areas like edtech and proptech.
These startups already boast an impressive collective annual recurring revenue of $20.8 million and have successfully raised $38.5 million, creating approximately 700 direct jobs in their respective nations. Participation in the StartMashreq Growth Track programme empowers these enterprises to penetrate new markets, escalate operations, offer additional employment, and magnify their socio-economic contributions.
Abeer Shalan, Senior Operations Officer at the International Financial Corporation (IFC), remarked, “Collaborating with Flat6Labs to bolster startups, particularly women-led ones, from the Mashreq region is a delightful venture for us. The demonstrated resilience and innovativeness of these startups underpin their potential to bring significant value to stakeholders. We aim to nurture this potential through robust funding and resource allocation, all to bolster the regional startup milieu.”
Ragia Amr, the StartMashreq Program Director at Flat6Labs, shared her excitement, stating, “Receiving such high-quality applications was inspiring, and we’re confident in these startups’ potential. Our programme will equip them with bespoke assistance to navigate and surmount challenges, enabling their market success. We’re eagerly anticipating our collaboration in the coming months.”
Initiated in June 2023, the StartMashreq Growth Track programme will continue its mission until December 2024. Beyond just an accelerator, it embodies StartMashreq’s broader ambition: fostering displaced entrepreneurs, championing startups led by women, catalyzing investment opportunities, and streamlining the regional startup scene. Participants will benefit from a plethora of enriching experiences, including mentorship by global experts, business networking, investor interactions, and international event participation.
